Alpha Delta Pi is proud to be the first secret society exclusively for women. Founded on May 15, 1851, at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, our sorority is rich with tradition and sisterhood. Alpha Delta Pi sisters strive for excellence in philanthropy, academic performance, and campus leadership. In keeping with our motto, We Live for Each Other, our members have found a place for support, shared values, and personal development. Opportunities abound for the sisters of Alpha Delta Pi, and we look forward to sharing them with you.
“We live for each other,” our open motto, is the foundation of Alpha Delta Pi’s sisterhood. Our motto describes the close bond formed between each Alpha Delta Pi sister. These ties go deeper and last longer than any friendship ever could. From the moment our new alphas step onto our lawn on Bid Day, they are welcomed with open arms immediately becoming part of our family. With every achievement, competition, discouragement and new experience, each ADPi knows she can count on her sisters to be by her side.
We experience many momentous events together from birthdays to wedding engagements, to academic accomplishments and job successes. And, it is also comforting to know that there is always a sister wanting to do what you are in the mood for, whether it is studying, going out on the town, making Target runs, watching Grey’s Anatomy, or just hanging out. Either way is clear that the sisterhood of Alpha Delta Pi extends far beyond college.
