Philanthropy

From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

Alpha Delta Pi collegians and alumnae, as well as friends and family members of Alpha Delta Pi, show their philanthropic spirit in many ways. Alpha Delta Pi sisters make an impact on their campuses and in their communities. During the 2018-2019 academic year, Alpha Delta Pi contributed $1,539,288 to charitable organizations, including $1,410,137 to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) across the United States and Canada.

We are proud of our long-standing relationship with RMHC. Since our partnership began in 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has contributed more than $15,000,000 to this worthwhile organization. Additionally, as part of the We Believe… Campaign, the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation has established the Ronald McDonald House Charities Endowment. This fund will allow the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation to provide even more resources to RMHC worldwide.

Pi Fest (Fall Philanthropy Event) is Alpha Delta Pi’s annual fall fundraiser designed to support Ronald McDonald House Charities. This event combines entertainment, food, and interactive activities to engage the UMKC community in making a difference. With live performances, food trucks, and games, Pi Fest creates an exciting atmosphere while raising funds to assist families with children undergoing medical treatments. Open to all, Pi Fest is an impactful way to support an important cause each fall.

Pi Hop (Spring Philanthropy Event) is Alpha Delta Pi’s beloved spring tradition, where we host a pancake breakfast to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Attendees can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, music, and community fun, with every bite supporting families in need. Pi Hop brings together students, faculty, and the public for a morning of delicious food and giving back. Held each spring, this event is a highlight of the year and a key part of our philanthropic efforts.
